I am having a devil of a time reattaching the chrome around the scoops on my 1968 2+2.

The Seal was attached by screws. looking at Xk'S Bible I see they are attached by rivets with washers, Doesn't look like a fun job reattaching them, but I've got time. I actually was praticing reattaching them before I got it painted. I too am restoring my 68 2 + 2, Patience, Time & money!

There are special rivets for the chrome pieces. Do you have them? They have a special head that the chrome forces down onto them. I am not good at describing what they look like, but when the rivet is attached to the bonnet, it looks like a "C" on it's back. XK's Unlimited has them. I am in the process of completing my restoration on a 1968 Roadster. Lots of fun!
