George:
If you have a D-Type shop manual, could you tell me whether it has a specification for the diameter of the torsion bars? Most appreciated.

D-Type question for George Camp
George:
I need to know the diameter of the fronts. Wheel rate may help if they have specifications for the front control arm...specifically the distances from the TB center to the ball joint center, and the distance from the fulcrum shaft center to the ball joint center.
Spline counts and length are identical to E-Type.

D-Type question for George Camp
Mike I will look further but can tell you the rate is (at the wheel) 120 lbs per inch. (front and rear) George Camp

Mike it giveslink measurements for setting and the spline count as well as the weight you need for preload. It does not give the diameter. George Camp
You are correct the splines are the same and I assume you have verified the length. The service handbook gives a lot of data but does not give size--the best it has to offer is the previous data on rate which should give size if you know how to do that ---sorry I do not. George Camp
