Heres what is happening. I'm a young british jag macanic and i am visiting palm springs. Public transport dose not happen in america so i rented a car. one week later when its time to go home. driving back to LAX. this rented Toyota blows a head gassket. i was expecting it. how ever by the time the rental compony picks me up and gets me to LAX, i've missed my flight by 3 hours... and british airways say. sorry - but you can get on the next flight, it will just coast you $700. because of the holidays.
Never in my life time will i pay $700. to fly one way. My return only cost 300 pounds [i've just noticed theres no sterling symble on american key bords].
so anyway. i thought i'ed stay untill after christmas. well christmas came and went - new year came and went. and i'm still in california. i stayed in hollywood over the holidays. houese siting was fun, but hollywood was full of washed out actours and conmen.
while in hollywood a got to know the nabior, who luckly knew the manager of Jaguar of south bay. i told him what i used to do in england and he aranged a meeting for me. how kind.
so i drove down to south bay and met with the mannager. he himself an englishman. we got on like a house on fire. he a realy nice guy. he offered me a job. unfortunatly because its part of a public company they cannot sponsor me for a visa witch i need to remain in america.
i'm getting ahead of my self. you see i'm thinking of staying here. i didn't know jaguar had so much infulance in america.
right now i'm staying with some good friends at peperdine uni in malibu.
so i was wondering if anyone has any leads or advice for me. i am copedant in working with all types of jag...
i am most gratful for any help... thats another thing about jaguars and america, theres always a good comunity spirit.
