Okay having read other posts on here I decided to change from the factory ignition switch to a replacement Standard US 14 switch. I believe my replacement switch may be bad for the following reason. I have it all hooked up and when I turn to on or acc everything seems proper, but when I move to the start position I can here the click of my relay but no starter turning. If I short between the switch battery terminal and the starter terminal, I get starter turning. Do I have a bad switch or is there something I am missing.
Thanks
Bruce

Bruce I think I posted about this awhile back, Isnt it wonderful how simple once sorted out and how cool the switch runs compared to the original. The original ran hot current constant through the back of the switch, hence the hot switch and melting and all the rest. Agreat upgrade and isolator at the same time. Good luck

Ignition switch Standard US 14 question
answered my own question. For your future reference. The battery (hot in ) goes to the switch terminal marked BAT. The Starter wire goes to the center terminal (maybe marked ST) all others wires, acc and ignition go to the ignition terminal. If you have a radio that you want to isolate or other things put them on the acc terminal.
The accessory terminal has no current when the switch is moved to the start position. I had wrongfully thought that the other wire (not bat, st or ignition ) would go to the acc terminal. Not so as this wire is part of the starter circuit and must have power to start the car.
Your welcome
Bruce
Thanks Joseph, I read your post when you wrote it and that is why I took the plunge thanks
