Hi all, I have a dilema and looking for some guidance. I underwent a ground up restoration that was completed 2 1/2 years ago. Long story short, I have discovered significant mechanical/safety issues as well as paint issues that will require a complete strip and respray along with some minor panel adjustment. I now have a very reputable shop completing the mechanical issues but I still have the issue with the paint. The original restoration shop, staring at a lawsuit, has agreed to repair the paint but I am leery of allowing them to do so without a binding contract that specifies length of time to complete, quality standards, and security if the contract is breached. I was wondering if anyone has seen any contract language for a restoration that they don't mind sharing so I don't have to start from scratch and incur additional legal fees.

Contractual law and consumer protection laws will be specific to the State that you live in.
