Greetings all
Can someone with experience describe the method for removing the top dash on a series one roadster? I've been asked to help disassemble an interior and I have never removed the dash before. Seems rather simple - a few bots- but the owner says he heard its necessary to remove the windshield? Could that be possible?
Also - are original dashes easy to re-cover with vinyl or does one simply replace the part with repro dash tops? Thank you!

Are there any secrets (good) procedures for hooking up the vent hoses. I am about to replace my dash top with one from Munsie.

thanks Bruce

George is spot on, To make it a little easier, drop the hood, so you don't feel so closed in and drop the dash pad over the steering wheel. Taking the steering wheel off, seems to give you tons more room, but its possible either way.

Greg there is no need to remove the windscreen. There are 4 nuts and washers---one in each far corner and 2 that must be addressed with the instrument panel dropped down. Having said that hooking up the vent hoses when you replace it is a bit of an exercise in patience but possible. As far as replacement of the top the usual vendors offer an excellent product but the dash top must be stripped back to the alum. casing.
