Restoring series 3 Want to powder coat black parts.knock off points?
Hello Dion. First, you need to download and study the JCNA Concours Rule Book. You can find it on the Internet at: http://www.jcna.com/library/concours/index.php
Concours judges do not inspect inside of the wheels or undercarriage. In Champion Division, the engine is inspected for originality and cleanliness so, if it can be seen, it's judged. If you are powder coating an item, that's fine, AS LONG AS IT LOOKS LIKE IT DID WHEN THE CAR CAME OFF THE ASSEMBLY LINE.

Series III XJ6 or a Series III E-Type?
Since it's technically the "wrong finish" you could lose 3.6 points on each Valve/Cam Cover, 2.4 points on throttle linkage, 3.0 on water manifolds, etc.
Check Chapter 6, Section G, Subsections 1-5 of the rule book.
