Hi All,
I'm geeting alot of vibration from the engine at idle that dissipates on accelleration. I'm thinking that the timing is off and plan to re-adjust it this weekend. Last week I looked at the distributor cap and spark plugs (unfortunately it wasn't that easy). The other thing is a slight squeaking sound that my engine is giving me at idle. Could it be a rod or a pump ready to go? Does anyone have any suggestions?
Best Regards,
Sean
ps-Thanks for the help with my cooling system. I ended up by-passing the thermo switch and connecting the fan to the coil for a constant run of both.

Series 1.5 Engine Vibration and what seems to be periodic squeaking.
Squeaking sound at idle possible water pump or distributor rotor. Tom Hughes
Rather than the distributor rotor, I should have been said the contact breaker lever. If the surface of the cam becomes dry, that will squeak. Tom Hughes
