1987 xj6 tires
Personally after investigating all the most often suggested tires I settled for Pirelli P3000 tires. I think Pirelli P4000 E are terrible and are not much better than the old P5Æs. The P400 were a little better but the P3000 are fantastic. All 215/70VR15.

1987 xj6 tires
Russell,
Michelin MXV4 Plus H Rated Tires. Very smooth riding tires with long tread life. V Rated tires will give you more performance with the consequence of less tread life.

I have new Pirelli P4000's on my '86 XJ6 and I absolutely love them. Very very secure ride; hugs the road and every person ever in my car comments how insanely smooth the car rides...then again, it's a Jaguar ;)
I have only had Pirelli's on the Jag (from the original P5's to two different sets of P4000's). I'm happy with them.
