hello my speedometer had seemed to stopped working all of the sudden ...i cant find any blown fuses or anything ive checked the plug on the guage itself but cant think of where to look next ....any ideas would be greatly apprieciated

Cory: 1) you have given no information regarding your car: model? year? engine? (think of the old computer adage: "garbage in, garbage out"). An informed answer requires a full description of the problem.
2) I will just guess that it is perhaps a post '82 Series III xj6. If so, the problem is that you have a faulty transducer at the transmission. The unit is easily replaceable with the car on a hoist; it is available from all the reliable suppliers such as Coventry West, XKs Unlimited, Welsh Jaguar...to name only a few. The connector is hidden in the foam silencing pad above the transmission; the transducer is on the right hand side of the transmission.

Does your cruise control work? If so, the pulse is good. If I remember correctly, the speedo and cruise control use the same pulse signal for reference.
