Well my car has finally arrived and I knew that it would have a leaky right steering rack seal. My mechanic who works on my TR6 thinks that I am better off to replace the whole steering rack rather than just try and replace the seals? Does anyone have any experience with replacing these seals?
Where is the best place to get a rebuilt steering rack?

Leaking steering rack seal
Check with Terry's Jaguar (www.terrysjag.com). As I recall, they supply rebuilt steering racks or can rebuild for you. They do excellent work. I believe Coventry West does them also. I believe that a good, experienced Jag mechanic can do the job as well, but places like Terry's and Coventry do this a lot and do it well.

Hello this is Brian in Toronto,
You might find that there is an early and a latter steering rack for
your V-12 XKE.If you check the parts catalogue you will find the serial number break. This will enable you to order the proper kit for it.You can rebuild it yourself.Be sure to use double condoms, for the seals.
