I would be interested in knowing what gas milage you folks are getting from your 4.2 XKE's around town and on the highway. Do any of you folks have or know of others who has triple Webers on their XKE? I would be interested in knowing how they have adjusted them to get maximum fuel efficiency.

Peter,
With the original dual strombergs, I was averaging around 18 to 20 mpg with my '70 FHC (4.2). Since installing the triple SU's, I'd say it is more like 15 to 18 mpg. Webers are tough to adjust for normal street use without completely changing the jetting on them. The triple Weber setup, to work most efficiently, really needs a change in the intact camshaft and springs, as well as jetting, and is more of a "power" setup for racing more than a comfortable street drive.
