Well, finally found my dream car, three days ago. She is a 1967 XKE HLC. She does not have the headlight covers, but I would like to install a set. Is there any special mounting bracket or different trim other than what is currently installed on my car? Is there anything I should look for in a good set of covers? Where should I go to purchase these?
Thanks in advance

Carle,
Not chiding, but questions like this should be raised on the XKE forum, not under general discussion. For future reference. Also, not sure what an "HLC" is. Do you mean FHC (fixed head coupe) or OTS (open two-seater)?
As to your question, sometime in 1967, Jaguar eliminated the headlight covers as a result of US regulations. The trim and headlight surround are different than the covered headlight setup. It's more complicated than simply screwing on a cover. You have to look at both of them side by side to see the difference. I believe that the "usual suspects" like SNG Barratt, XK's Unlimited, Welsh Enterprises, etc. offer a conversion kit. But as I recall, it's not cheap.
Why not just leave the car as is? I have those headlights on my '70 and '72, and they are fine. In fact, you can replace the headlights with more modern bulbs and actually be able to see at night.
