I am trying to trace some history for my Jaguar XKE, which is now being restored in the UK, please find a picture of the car in its current condition. My late father purchased the car in February 1992 in the UK. The car had been imported the car back to the UK in February 1990 from the US.
I recently paid for a Heritage Certificate from Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust in Coventry, UK which showÆs the original specification of the car. This shows it was originally a Primrose Yellow 1964 Series 1 Fixed Head Coupe RHD, and was exported to New York, the first registered owner was a Mr. Wayne A Christensen, Norwalk, California. Since the original specification the car has been converted into a red Roadster still retaining the original chassis & engine.
Other previous owners I have from the details of are:-
John V Burch
Long Beach CA 90815
Purhcase the vehicle from the below 04/27/86
John Anthony & Angela G Paredes
Cerritos CA 90701
Looks like he they purchased the vehicle 03/22/79 (this is the date issued on the title document)
Details of the car are: -
US License no. 410 GIV
Vehicle ID. J651E20073
Chasis no. 1E20073
Could anyone give some advice in getting more history on the car or how I can trace the previous owners as it would be nice to hear of their time with the XKE & to find out how & when it was converted from a Fixed Head to Roadster!

Re.: Trying to trace the history of my Fathers XKE!
Justin,
Interesting car. Have you looked it up on www.xkedata.com?
Nevermind, I see that you've already been there...
