Today I received a question from a prospective buyer. Can anyone help me on this one?...
would this setup bolt on to an engine out of a 68
xke 2+2 that presently has a 2 carb setup?

Your Mk X manifold will not work with an E-type. The Mk X manifold is canted upward. The manifolds for Triple SU's on an E-type must be canted downward, otherwise the tops of the carbs will hit the bonnet. There has been discussion about machining the manifold to tilt it downward, but I don't know anyone who's done it.
Also, the water on the 3.8 do not match the ports on the 4.2 engine. However, that can be cured by simply plugging the ones that don't match, not a big deal, as long as you have an E-type 3.8 manifold. I also think the linkage and choke setup is different on the Mk X, but not sure. But the biggest problem is the carbs tilting upward, hitting the bonnet.
