I am concerned about the large pedal pressure required to stop my car.
Mechanic says servo is working. My memory of drving a friends 67 roadster some years ago is tha tthe brakes had a nice feel to them.
Suggestions? Pads are new.
I suppose as I am new to E type ownership (atually my first Jaguar) I will have numerous dumb questions to fill the forum with.

Many thanks

Good suggestions by William. Also, have the brakes been bled recently. If not, have it done (if you don't know how to do it yourself). Be sure to use fresh fluid.

To check the servo; switch off the engine and pump the brake pedal until it gets very hard and hold it there, now start the engine, if the pedal moves down the servo is working ,if it stays hard it isn't. If it is working and the brakes are inefficient you may have seized callipers at the rear, Check it out
