okay my 81 XJ6... I was just driving it and i felt my powersteering gone... and realized that engine had died...
i checked alternator, replaced battery, rubricated all the parts in intake, played around with air-fuel ratio and idle control even put heat shield around my air filter tube. (it becomes really really hot and i hated that)
all this helped me a bit but i still get the probrem.
basically engine just dies. i have to press gas petal all the way just to keep it alive but sometimes that doesn't help either...
PLEASE HELP I DON'T WANNA SELL MY JAG!!!!!

Re.: My Jags dying!!!!!!!!!!
Hello Gene
Fuel pressure drop is what it sounds like.
Replace the fuel injector relay.
Replace fuel filter and install a gauge on the fuel pressure tap.
Remove heat shield from around filter tube, the engineers use the intake air tube heat for a reason.
all this helped me a bit but i still get the probrem.
Have a great day.
Engine compartment; passenger bulkhead area, just below hood seal, four or five relays, replace them all.
