Hello from East NC. a few days ago, while putting up the hood(top), the pin that connects the handle to the mechanism that is part of the frame, parted.
I contacted JAGBITS AND COVENTRY WEST, but was unsuccessful in finding JUST the pin, but was offered the entire mechanism for $150.00. The mechanism is fine, and the handle is fine, just the pin parted. I asked whether or not the pin might still be manufactured, but was told probably not. I do not know if current tops have the same system. Any experience with this problem out there with all the techies, or will I have to find a wreck of my model to get a pin? One thing I have NOT done yet, is to find an auto upholstery shop that does convertibles. Thanks for your time and consideration. Ali

locking mechanism for convert top
Take it to your local top shop and see what they can do. Worst case scenario have a local machine shop make you a new pin.
Hi Scott: As a matter of fact, my husband is going to do just that! Thanks for being on the same wave length, will update you when we are finished. Smiles for you, Ali
