I have a 97 XK8 coupe. I recently had to replace a sensor due to a slight hesitation and "Engine fault " appearing. The cost of these sensors is very high, and no extended warranty company cover them. Apparently there is no maintenance program. One has to trust to luck. Where can I read up on "sensors ?"

First the correct forum to post is not general discussion. Post in the current production and the folks there may help. Reading up on sensors wont help. What you need to do is determine why they are going bad and for that the dealer is the place to go. Some dealers are better than othere so if the answers do not pass the smell test go elsewhere. Bet a posting in a lower forum will help.
