my 86 xj6 hesitates at times, but only after its warmed up,. and only sometimes when im starting out from a dead stop, it runs great most the rest of the time,and it runs rough then stalls out and then its fine for a while.
ive added fuel injection cleaner and a new gas filter..
any ideas?

Many possibilities here, sorry to say. here's a couple that pop immediately to mind:
Start with a very thorough inspection of all wiring and connectors associated with the coil, distributor, relays on the firewall, ground bundle at the end of the water rail. Many peculair running on these problems can be attributed to poor connections.
Next possibilty is the ignition module located inside the ignition amplifier. If it acts up, it'll almost always be on a warm engine....until total failure occurs, of course.
A cheap and easy guess would be the coolant temp sensor for the fuel injection system. They usually cause grief on a cold-ish engine, but it is possible for them to send a "cold" signal to the computer even the the engine is fully warmed up, with the end result being too much fuel. Are you getting any black smoke? Anyhow, only about $25 and 10 minutes to replace so, as guesses go, not too hateful.
