I've got a couple of engines to do so I'd like to make one of these. Does anybody know the diameter of the tube that sizes the seal. Presumably it is the same as the journal - 2.750" but I'd like to confirm this if possible. Thanks

I've been talking to a fellow in Australia who sent me the dimensions and also suggested that it would be easier to just buy one from SNG for $126.00 - which seems doable. Never having seen one I didn't realize that it has two machined surfaces. Thanks for the suggestion of a loan from the club, but the problems with clearing it in and out of Canada Customs would involve hours of tail chasing, and is too daunting to contemplate. I can have SNG ship to a friend in Oregon and simply pick it up when next in the US.

Terry the tool is staged and not one size. The JCNA Tool loan program has loaned it out many times. It is a machine polished perfect tool. To make one of the same quality would cost many hundreds of dollars.
