Hello, my name is Natalie and I work for a television production company in the UK called RAW TV, we are making a documentary type film series called Autobiography. We are currently prepping for episode 3 which is centred around the Cannonball run, one of the drivers we have contacted to interview ran the race in 1979 in a Jaguar XJS.

We are currently on the hunt for a matching vehicle so that we can film with it in Dallas, TX. We plan to film with this car on Thursday 18th July. Does anyone happen to have a black late 1970’s to early 1980’s Jaguar XJS? Or do you know where we could source one from? (I have attached a couple of pictures for reference.) We would only need the vehicle for the day to film with and we will need to mount cameras to the car.

This is an exciting opportunity for your car to appear in a television show, which will be aired on the Discovery channel.

Any help or assistance with this search will be greatly appreciated.

Regarding the above Jaguar xjs. Gas Monkey Garage ( Dallas Texas )bought the actual xjs that won the Cannonball twice. According to their own show. They were going to restore the car. Possibility it may have been completed and that they may still have it. Why not use the actual winning xjs if possible?

Thank you for responding to my post, we are actually doing some filming with Gas Monkey Garage in Dallas, and we will be filming the actual car used for the race. However the XJS that they have isn't running at the moment, and in addition to filming that car, we would love to film one that is being driven.
