I was reading the February issue of the Jaguar Journal which lists final standings.
Where would the final standings for Preservation Class be?
I understand preservation class is judged using the championship system with non-authentic deducts for any restoration but the JCNA Rules do not make it clear how and where the results end up being entered.

Re.: Preservation Class
I think a fully preserved original car is a fully preserved original car no matter what year of manufacture it is.

Well, I am not being too particular about how to divide the C-19 class but I was thinking that newer vehs have an advantage over older vehs: C-19 does not relfect that reality.

Re.: Preservation Class
Why would it "be more fair" to have Preservation Class divided into two categories, 20-30 years old and over 30? I would not support this if it were a proposed rule change.

I just could not figure out from reading the rules that I should end up at C-19. Now I know - thanks.
And C-19 would be for all the cars in this class whether they are 20, 40, or 60 years old? It might more fair to have over / under 30 year preservation classes.

Preservation Class
"but the JCNA Rules do not make it clear how and where the results end up being entered"
well i don't know.. your question is not clear if you ask me... :-) the results are entered along with every 1500 or so concours score each year, as C19. :-)
go to the standings page, click on your choice of standings (regional, national, provisional, etc...) and scroll down to C19 !

PS oops.. did i say national ? :-)

George. I guess you are referring to the mention that a car has to be a minimum of twenty years old to participate in the preservation class. I would not exactly call that an age cut off point. I would more liken it to a minimum age requirement.
