The window on the drivers side doesn't close tight in the top left corner by your ear. Leaves about a quarter inch gap for wind and water. Any ideas how to adjust this??
Thanks

Tim,
I have a 2002 xk8 and have had the same problems. There is a simple remedy in the owners book. If you do not have one I can look it up when at home tonight. but If i remember correctly -
--You cut the car on and roll the window all the way down- but then continue to hold the button down and count five seconds -- open and close the door and see if this does the trick-- if not -- then do the opposite---roll it down and up and again - once up- continue to hold the button down for five seconds.
You either roll it down and do this or roll it up- I cannot remember but I think it is down-

Tim, if you want to give an email address, I'll see if I can send you some noted pictures of the adjustments for the door glass. Can you tell us what happened or how the glass got in this state??
Cheers,

Drivers Window
Hi Steven;
Sorry, my car is a coupe. the drivers window appears to go all the way up but there is about a quarter inch gap at the top left side. It almost looks like it needs to come in towards the middle of the car, or maybe pulled up from that corner. Its not a major thing but does whistle at speed and I did get quite wet at the carwash the other day!!
Cheers,
Tim

Since I just happen to have my hands on an X100 with poor glass adjustment, here is an example, side to side.
Right side is crap, LH side is nice and parallel, like it should be. Generally both pieces of glass have to be reset to make it right.

You don't really what exactly is mis-aligned, but whatever the case, there are a series of adjustments for both the quarterlight and the door glass, to bring them together with the top seals properly. It can get somewhat involved, but both you and the convertible hood will be happier if the adjustments are made correctly.
Cheers.
Thanks Harold;
I have that setting all good. It's just that when the window is supposed to be closed tightly all the way across; aligned with the rubber seal; there is a gap right at the top left corner; as though the glass needs to be pulled up on that side.
