Has anyone out there investigated the exchangeability of throttle bodies between the 1997 XK8 4 litre motor and the Mercury LS 3.9 litre?
Curious. (for future reference!)

Throttle Body Exchangeability
I sure would like to find someone who would be willing to find out!
I have an XK-8 that has had two throttle bodies replaced in 135, 000 miles. I'm told by the bba-reman people that the vaccuum operated ones like the one I have are not rebuildable by them.
I would donate my old (presumably faulty) to anyone who would reverse engineer it and figure out how to deal with the faulty ones.
Any interest at the club level??????
Yes, Josh, I read your earlier posts about TB issues. Mine hasn't acted up as badly as yours, but I have 107K on the speedo and have started to feel issues of bogging down on occasion. feels like a "flooding" of fuel when trying to moderately accelerate. I've thrown no codes yet and the issue clears itself in a few seconds. It just seems to me that as the engines were engineered by the same people (Ford/Jaguar) there might be an similarity of throttle body controls.
Fact is, as long as this issue has been a problem I'm guessing they are different. I was just hoping for confirmation from a more experienced source.
