I would like to return my unrestored 1971 4.2 Coupe driver from resale red to it's original color, Willow Green. I can't afford an expensive job, but I wouldn't like an "Earl Scheib" special either. Any suggestions?

I am afraid you pretty much get what you pay for. A color change if done correctly is very labor intensive, and you are dealing with skilled workers who do not work for minimum wage. Unless you are capable of doing all the necessary prep work, and even then, you are talking about some serious money. A poor or mediocre job will leave you unhappy and will definitely diminish the car's value. Wish I could be more hopeful.

I have read and heard that MACCO does a pretty good 10' paint job, but I doubt that would be a complete color change paint job. To do it correctly you are looking at a pretty extensive project. Disassembly of the car, paint and re-assembly. That is labor intensive and that means $$$$

Thanks for all the advice, guys. Maybe I'll just stick with what I've got.
