I've seen it somewhere, cannot remember where.
My MK2 is exactly 10% off. I could obtain an inline reducer, or even dig out out of my parts, but I have two speedometers...the one that came in the car and another in a complete dash I KNOW is 2.4L, as it has the sliding choke next to the speedometer.
I am looking for something that tells me what the numbers on the face of the speedo mean.....trans, diff, that kind of stuff!
If I can find out what is norm, I can determine if the one installed is correct (then get an in-line reducer) or the other unit is correct, and install that one!
Thanks.
Dave

Re.: Speedo numbering decoder
Yeah, I first thought about the XK forum, but since I was looking for some kind of list, maybe someone knew where to find it that wasn't on the XK forum.

Re.: Speedo numbering decoder
Dave this would be better in the Xk saloons forum but now that we are here you can check your parts manual where the Smiths number on the face will be listed with the Jaguar number--all details are in the remarks--if that is not possible post the Smiths face numbers here and I will decode them.
