I am thinking about buying a 1962 Jaguar Mark X with right side steering. The car is in pretty good shape and will be running when I buy it. I am wanting to restore the car, not as a prize wining show car, just something nice. Will the right side steering hurt or help the value of the car?

Jaguar Mark X right side steering?
Lewis the value for RHD will always be better in RHD areas unless there is some 'special' story about the car (owned by a celeb or such). That said I have driven and owned several RHD cars. My total issues with them were at drive up tellers/ toll roads and when passing another car.. The vision to the front is limited and in a MKX the size may make that situation more difficult. All of that said there are no other issues with RHD vs LHD--other information about driving might be obtained from your USPS carrier.

Jaguar Mark X right side steering?
If you do buy it, I have a 1966 parts car here in Florida, if you need anything. My car is also RHD and A/C. Thanks Tom (407) 298 1358.
I have a RHD MK2, drive it almost every day.
Passing issues can be overcome, but drive through tellers at the bank.....I do it at least once a week.
It's a hoot.
I back through.
Usually I have to wave those following up...as they think I am going to drive forward.....drive new tellers nutz.
Whilst any Jaguar will command attention, a RHD usually draws more. Been there.
Get your chauffeurs jacket and cap, drive your wife shopping someday......you never know, the press might be waiting when she is done.
