Hello all. My engine check light came on. So I checked the codes.
I found (P0122, 1/1, Thottle/pedal position sensor/switch A ciruit low)
can you tell me how to test/adjust the TP switch?

1095 xjs 4.0 throttle potentopmeter
Careful fellas, if this is a 1995 4.0L [typo in the subject I hope], the TPS is non-adjustable. It has fixed mountings and "adjustment" is accomplished by resetting the throttle adaption with the diagnostic equipment, WDS, PDU or IDS.
Signal low would be an open circuit in the sensor or in the signal wire to the ECM, or a grounded signal wire. Also possible is an open circuit in the 5 volt reference wire to the sensor. Lots of choices here.
Good luck!

Kirk the adjustment is in the manual and can be provided in part here. More likely you have a dirt/oil condition that will not be fixed with adjustment. Have you checked the small wire harness and connection to the TPS? Make sure it is clean and dry.
Steve you are right--I read the 1095 as 1085. In this case both wrong. I revert back to a good check of the wiring and cleanliness! Thanks Steve!
