I just installed a new fuel filter but forgot to install the o rings on the fuel lines so it leaked a bit when I turned over the motor. I went and got new o-rings installed and then re-installed the fuel filter then tried to start the motor. Turned over but did not start. I pulled one side of the filter to see if it was pumping fuel as I turned it over but there was no fuel coming out. So it was working when I installed the filter with no o rings but as soon as I did, fuel stopped pumping. Any ideas why that would happen. Did the fuel pump relay just "happen" to go out during that small amount of time or maybe the fuel pup stop working within that time? I pulled the filter and blew through it to make sure there wasn't any obstructions to which there wasn't. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

I had no fuel pressure in 1982 XJ6 and discovered the problems in old hose connections. Replaced all the hose connections and now it runs better. Maybe you can check little more into the areas that are overlooked. Happy hunting and hope it purrs next time.
