Ocassionally my speedometer will absolutely jump for joy and bounce all over the place and then settle back down to normal operation. Any thoughts?

Thanks George, is there any downside, other than short term having to use GPS and tach for speed, until the next trip to my tech? It works fine 99.9% of the time, but don't want something else to be affected.
