I have a 1988 XJS, Hess & Eisenhardt convertible. I am trying to connect some missing and disconnected vacuum hoses. My vehicle did NOT have recall (90V123000) performed. Here are the ÔÇ£bibsÔÇØ that have no hoses attached: the two bibs side by side on the driverÔÇÖs side manifold, the two bibs (Purge Valves?) side by side near the charcoal canister in the compartment in front of the driverÔÇÖs front wheel and the two antenna like bibs on the thermal vac valve underneath the driverÔÇÖs side manifold. I have done the following to try to resolve this dilemma: studied at length the three diagrams under my hood (EAC9485, 8547 and 5992), searched several jag sites for hours, looked at the ROM, surfed the web for hours, studied the 240 page document for recall (90V123000) to see if I could find out how the hoses were before the recall, contacted a Jaguar colleague and friend, and spent hours with the car tracking hoses and trying to make sense of the diagrams. (I still cannot find the Purge Pipe mentioned on one of the diagrams.) Can you tell me where the hoses go - eg. a hose goes from this bib to this bib. I attach the diagrams under my hood along with some others that may be helpful. Your help would be greatly appreciated. John jagrct46uaol.com

Re.: Vacuum Hoses - 1988 XJS Hess & Eisenhardt convertible
Steve, thanks much for the information. It was very helpful. I attached my "diagram 2" for you and anyone's else's review. If you have the time, please let me know if this is correct in your opinion, and if not what needs to be changes, deleted or added.

To All:
Attached is the diagram I am currently working off of. Steve Petry does not believe that the two "T" connections at "I" are necessary. Steve is going to get back to me. I would appreciate anyone else's thoughts. Thanks much.
