This car starts and runs fine with out the relay mounted on firewall next to the washer bottle, being wired up. What is it's purpose?
Also needs some guidance on which wires to to each terminal on the relay.
On the end of the relay harness that goes to the coil, white and blue go to + side, where does the white and yellow jumper go?

George, here goes the stupid question, but, what is a "load shed ignition car"?
I suspected it was some sort of protection relay. I want to hook it up for proper use.

Re.: 70 starter relay
Kerry it is your starter relay--evidently it has been by passed which can be done but w/o protection --your car is a load shed ign. car--has that been removed also?
Kerry we are forwarding you an ignition diagram from the service bulletins. Your car is set up differently than earlier cars--cranks on 12 Volts and runs off 6 at the coil. You should rec the diagrams in a day or so. George
