I see that there are "plug and play" computer chips on the market that boasts an (up to) additional 60 HP and 5% better fuel economy...say it ain't so??

Just spoke with the chip manufacturer who said they have sold millions and never had a computer fail. Who does one believe??

Don't know if this is true, but my mechanic said if I did change out the performance chip the engine computer would be non-functional.
